Privacy Policy

Lookout Station (“the App”) is developed by Pedro Gomes. Your privacy is fundamental to how the App is designed and operated. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Lookout Station does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. Specifically:

• No account or registration is required to use the App.
• No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other personally identifiable information is collected.
• No advertising identifiers or tracking pixels are used.
• No browsing history, location data, or contacts are accessed or transmitted.

All dashboard configurations, themes, panel layouts, connections, and preferences are stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud Sync, this data is synchronized through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit framework — it is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple, and is never accessible to us.

Certain panels connect to third-party services to fetch data you have explicitly configured (e.g. weather providers, RSS feeds, Home Assistant servers, stock market APIs). These connections are made directly from your device to the respective service. Lookout Station does not proxy, intercept, or log any of this traffic.

Credentials for third-party services (API keys, server URLs, tokens) are stored in the iOS/macOS/tvOS Keychain or in your local app container. They are never transmitted to us.

Lookout Station uses TelemetryDeck for privacy-first, anonymous usage analytics. TelemetryDeck does not collect personal data, device identifiers, or IP addresses. It provides aggregate insight into which features are used and how the App performs, helping us improve the product. You can learn more about TelemetryDeck's privacy practices on their privacy page.

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Lookout Station does not collect or have access to your payment information, billing address, or Apple ID.

When you connect to Home Assistant or use HomeKit, all communication happens locally on your network or through Apple's secure HomeKit framework. Lookout Station does not operate any cloud relay or intermediary server.

Fleet Command discovers and communicates with other Lookout Station instances exclusively over your local network using Bonjour (mDNS) and peer-to-peer connections. No data leaves your local network.

Lookout Station does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The App does not require an account and stores no personal data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
